DICTIONARY.COM : RELIGIOUS BIAS AGAINST PAGANISM?

Our OPEN LETTER to Dictionary.com

RESPONSE from Dictionary.com

We've all sat down to write a blog article or school assignment, right? What is one thing that you reach for - a dictionary or thesaurus.
And using an online reference source is quick, easy, and painless - unless you happen to be Pagan or Wiccan, that is! What you're
looking at right now are all the definitions and synonyms for "Pagan" on DICTIONARY.COM and THESAURUS.COM. Pretty offensive references!

NOTE: Dictionary.com has made some changes to the definition PAGAN, however it still continues to display negative
terms on their Thesaurus.com page. The WICI would suggest boycotting any online reference site
that continues to discriminate against Pagans and Paganism.

On April 17, the Wiccan Interfaith Council International sent an OPEN LETTER to Ms. Michele Turner, CEO of Dictionary.com.

In her response, she states, "...we are moving it up in priority and are planning to provide a revised definition in our next update,
which should be in about 6-8 weeks." Spring, 2014
